I get the concern about two kickers but we had 3 QB's on the roster in 2015 and nobody cared. The only difference now is that we have  a couple of young QB's to develop instead of Joe Webb. Let's face it; we would have been screwed if Joe Webb ever had to play QB in a real game anyway.

Webb was on the roster for his versatility and his ST play. Not so much QB. That's where it's acceptable, because he can play so many roles.

the 53rd spot on a roster usually doesn't even get a jersey on game day...if we need a spot for a player we can easily create one

we really had a lot of athletes in camp this year...we have a really talented team with vets (which we need)... and young fast athletes

got to hang in there early in the year and rock in nov- dec

 

So basically what you are saying it is a one game audition. If he fails once he is done. What was the Pre-Season Kicker Competition for then?

I know that, but it's not like he was a pro bowl ST'er.. There are going to be the same number of guys who don't get a uniform on Sunday and one of them will probably be a QB. Another one will definitely be a kicker. I just don't see how this hurts the team on game day, assuming that we even have two kickers and 3 QB's on game day in the first place.

Then the Pre Season meant nothing where I believe Butker made all his FG attempts and Extra Points while Gano missed 2 FG's and made all of his Extra Point tries. It don't make sense.

I'm just glad Armah will get a chance here. People can laugh all they want but that kid has a lot of potential.

I can agree with that. Kickers however cannot be fragile when it comes to there minds. The mind is a huge part of what the Kickers have to go through especially since a lot of the games do come down to them winning or losing them. If his head isn't screwed on right I would think these Pro Coaches could have evaluated that during the Pre Season, but who knows.

He was one of the leading tacklers.

The same number, yes. But we have two spots that have no chance of contributing on special teams. 

It's not the end of the world....just an questionable. Who will take up the special teams slack?
