Cutting Webb did not go over well in the locker room, per Joe Person

No matter how they slice it...  it makes no sense.  He was well-liked and his versatility alone made him the most valuable backup QB in the league - 2nd or 3rd string.  You cut a guy that outperformed your #2, can cover kicks, and can play receiver and kept a #2 that has steadily regressed and signed a noodle armed UDFA to "develop" even though he'll never play enough for it to mean anything.  It's just dumb.

I am not sure if it is millennials or not, but I am pretty sure it is workplace morale and not workplace moral.

The (morale) of the story is, the NFL it tough on job security, even tougher when you never start.  He had a good run.

Move on.  Doubt the Panther players missed a beat, no matter what Joe P says

Not bringing back a certain former DE didn't go over well in the locker room either btw.  There's a way (at least in Hogwarts if not reality) to still throw the league a $hitburger and team a bone.

If only he didn't let his ego/rage and money hungry women get the better of him. Pretty sure he would be closing in on our all time sack record right now.

They are allowed to care. Then they are allowed to get over it and realize this is a business and to go earn their ridiculous paychecks. 95% of each of them will one day be cut as well. The rest will retire before their paycheck outweighs their talent.

All of the people that pooed this post are the same ones that made similar post when Gettleman made cuts

Being versatile is a great talent to have. But if you aren't very good at any of the positions you play, I'm not sure versatility matters. Webb's special teams ability was largely overblown.
