If you think the Panthers were built for the future over the past 4 seasons, then you are sadly mistaken. The core from 2011 and 2012 is still carrying this team and 2 of them went rogue on Gettleman this offseason to get him out since they have not gotten help.

None of the young players brought in have stepped up to be leaders. I have hope for KK, but he has not stepped up to be a leader in previous seasons.

The leaders are still Cam, Olsen, Stewart, Kalil, Kuechly, TD, and CJ. (Maybe Peppers now, but he is no longer young)

Hardly built for the future. Especially when drafts are given away for 5 picks a year and players like Bene Benwikere and Devin Funchess. That lack of a future in young players to take pressure off the aging vets leading the team is what got Gettleman canned.

1. From 97 to 02 we had more 4 7-9 and to 8-8 records being in the playoff hunt for most of the season..

They didn't bounce back the next year.  

It was 2-14 , 4-12, 3-13 maybe a 8-8 or 7-9 then back to 5-11..

Not happening. I know that is your go to response to anyone who questions your hero, to go follow another team. Unlike you, I realize there is more to this franchise than one batshit crazy owner who has done everything in his power to hold this franchise back. I will continue to cheer on this franchise knowing that it would be literally impossible for the next owner to do a worse job.

And so far I've been correct. Until we have new ownership nothing will change. Richardson would rather have Mr. Niceguy in top positions and as we habe seen for 20+ seasons that doesn't get it done.

No it wasn't. Our secondary was a disaster and you can lay that blame on Gettlemen. He botched the whole Norman franchise tag/contract and then had to be  reactive and drafted too many secondary players.  And then when the secondary played like poo as should be expected he overreacted and cut Bene.  

I don't see Gettlemen in the same light as most people on here do. I think he was frequently lead by negative emotions and then he has to become reactive.
