The ingredients for a loss are there, especially if the team mentality is that the 49ers will be a pushover. We should be treating this as going up against the Falcons.

One new weapon that I think will help Cam out a lot will be Christian McCaffrey and his ability to do a lot of different things on the field. Cam won't have to rely on himself to run as much. Plus Cam will have the check off guy that he can rely on to catch the ball out of the back field and make something happen in McCaffrey leading Cam to not have to throw down field as much. Look for Greg Olsen to have a nice game as well.

So much talk about CMC carrying us...sure he is amazing..but this defense.  Should be amazingly good.

If it's any consolation, historically the Panthers play better for Away games week 1 than at Home.  Maybe NFL has been doing us a favor by making us start on the road 6 of 7 years under Ron?  

But, our week 1 record in general is pretty dismal, so I'm not taking this game lightly at all and I damn sure hope our coaches and team aren't taking it lightly!

This version of the 49ers will be much better than the team we faced last season.

First there is no Chip Kelly, Kyle Shanahan is far superior offensive mind, secondly Hoyer is no Gabbert, Brian Hoyer actually has a decent arm and can throw a pretty accurate ball. Pierre Garcon is a pros pro, and Goodwin(sp) is one of the fastest players in the league so they have some weapons on the outside. But I believe if we can contain Hyde and their running game they will have trouble moving the ball.

Defensively they are young and talented, they looked really good against Minnesota, but I suspect that has to do with the Vikings who are going to have a historic bad offensive line this season, they were horrible last year and now have 5 new starters, they were so bad they actually thought Mike Remmers would be a upgrade. Offensively for the Panther though I think with the weapons we got if the oline can hold up the pass rush we should be able to exploit San Frans defense.
