Don't hold your breath. He's got no arm and doesn't possess that IT factor. In addition, when facing an actually good defense, his completion percentage drops south of 55%

Haha, I remember how much you liked him from draft time.  He didn't get much better in his years in Miami so not sure what to think.  The idea of a young backup QB is a good one...just not sure he's the one.

If you don't possess a cannon, you gotta at least be accurate.

I have seen him play. HIs arm is not that weak. He wasn't exactly playing on great teams either. We will see. It's just a guy from the waiver wires. Nobody should be expecting the next Cam Newton.

So let me get this straight, we cut two QB's that knew our system, one contributing heavily on special teams, who arguably played better than the current backup only to sign a guy no better than the guys we cut?   Sounds like a good plan to me.

These moves were typical in the Hurney era.

AND we kept the QB that sucked complete ass during the preseason, while those other two QBs vastly outplayed said QB. Not to mention we STILL have not cut one of our kickers. Hurney back in action people. It's fine, people gonna learn what a lot of us had to endure the first time around with Hurney.

Kaaya was projected as a 1st or 2nd round pick going in to last year. He didn't live up to expectation. He is good enough to take a look for a year and see how he develops. Webb isn't needed to help on special teams or WR anymore and if he ever had to come in at QB we would've been toast anyway. 45-53 of the roster will always churn and you're best served taking a shot at a guy like this who could develop than in a guy like Webb who has hit his ceiling.

Since the 53 cut, the Huddle has damn near imploded over perceived needs at safety, another CB, and a 3rd QB. Much to my surprise, Hurney quickly filled those needs, and the Seymour trade is actually impressive. Almost makes you want to think he's using the incredible personnel expertise here for guidance.

So we cut a guy who hit his ceiling vs a guy who fell into the basement?

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
