I really liked Warmind, not sure if that help.  There are several other editions where you can purchase the missing DLC and get into Forsaken.  I imagine that the starting level is going to be like level 30 with a power of like 200.  Shouldn't be too horrible to start the climb again.  

I'm going to be jumping on tomorrow to do the Gambit free Saturday.  Starts at 10am PST, so see y'all tomorrow afternoon =)  Gambit looks SUPER fun!  

I just ran through warmind. It wasn’t bad at all. I also just read that if you pre order the expansion you will get an Engram that will put you at the level where you are supposed to be for the expansion, kinda like they did in D1. I also heard something about shaders being taken away or something along this lines

Cool, I really liked a lot of Warmind, they just needed to give it more room to breathe.

There is a character boost, I'll be using that on one of my babies.

You can just mass delete shaders slightly better..  Like 5 stacks.  I haven't had a chance to really play as I've been updating my xbox one x which is taking forever over wifi.  Will finish it up on my network this weekend.

Yeah, mass deletion is great for the shaders. Good luck updating the box, it took mine a long time as well. I’m off Tuesday so I’m going to play a while, if you want to join me, feel free to hit me up.

Mine took forever on my US wifi...  I'll move it to my router for future updates!

I just did mt first extended playing last night.  I got some expansion arms on my titan on the Mars flashpoint.   I run around with an elemental shotgun and had a blast.  I sniped, with rockets and a shotgun...too much fun! I did a strike (the one we used to skip on io with the annoying boss) that was actually fun and didn't take 45 minutes.   I played some quick play and enjoyed the heck out of it.

D2 IS SO MUCH FUN!!!! W00t!

So I played some Gambit today (the trial).  Its in the bottom ceneter of the director.

Man, it's a frantic game mode.  I was running 358ish or so, and I felt weak.  Tolesto is life.  I cleaned so much house with it.  The mobs, blockers and invaders happen so quickly! It's fun, but I bet its much better with a team.  I was soloing, and running against stacked teams...needless to say I lost all my matches.

I did a lot of butt kicking on invaders, and even invaded and managed some kills.  That was my favorite part, killing the invader.  Communication is key though.

Anyone else try it today? It will end at reset time, 10am PST tomorrow.

I think you might have missed Gambit, but then again, there are only a few more days until Forsaken.

The weapon system and shuffling of power levels are so much more fun.  Like I was able to have fun in crucible when I played for the first time in forever!  Shoulder Charging Shotgun warrior! =)  Yeah, I'm that annoying dude!  In strikes, you just feel like you're powerful again.  Exodus Black (that's the one!), the boss felt fair for a strike.  It was actually enjoyable instead of the most annoying and dreaded experience of my life.

I think Forsaken and the rest of year 2 Destiny 2 is going to be pretty darn cool.

Played the start of warmind campaign and did some public events on Mars. Enjoyed my time doing it. Got up to 329 light and level 28. Gonna have to grind some more so I don't die so much. The jump is screwing with me because I was destroying poo by the end of the Osiris dlc.

ErmMahGawd!  Do you even Destiny, bro???  ;)

Gambit is the New PVEVP mode.  You and three teammates start off doing some PVE waves.  You kill dudes, dudes drop motes.  You can deposit your motes and summon blockers for the other team.  5/10/15 motes make harder and harder blockers.  Depositing 3 gets you nothing, 7 gets you a small blocker (5).  At intervals, a portal will open up to the opponents area.  You (or one of your teammates) can invade the other players area, kill them, which causes them to lose their motes they are carrying.  At 75 motes, you will summon your Prime Evil.  This boss till take more damage the longer it's up and the more you attack it.  The invasion portals will be opened and you can invade (or be invaded) like crazy.  Each time you die, your prime evil is healed.  PVP slayers can be a giant pain or boon.

You play three rounds, first to two wins "wins" the match.  This is a really fun game mode.  You really need to be on a team that communicates.  I played solo and it was such a mess.  We kept matching against fully stacked clan teams...  Yeah, I took down 1 Prime Eval in 3 matches...Ewww...  But with a group, this will be so much better.  I was also only like 350 light, which wasn't enough to really be competitive with the invaders.  I felt like my auto rifles were not hitting at all, which was worrying.

Destiny 2 is one of the free games this month for PS Plus users. Looking forward to checking it out.

I started Forsaken's campaign last night.  It was good.  There are stakes, there's an objective.  I am digging it, though I'm just barely in.  My clanmates are very positive about the story, and the new gameplay options.  Someone said this is a big time reset for D2, and it looks to have captured the power fantasy again.

Exactly my thoughts. Loving where the game is at. I spent last night just hitting dailys, weeklys, and some bounties and love it. Getting consistent drops at 500+ doesn't hurt. Though, I'm gonna need that first light cap raise on engrams soon. Getting 500 pieces when everything is at 500 is frustrating. How am I supposed to hit 550 for the event on that last area if I can't get above 501 because RNG isn't giving me anything above 500 except for a couple of pieces?

You still have to look for the "powerful gear rewards" to get your power level improvements.

I am so sad I'm already super busy at work.  I can't wait to dig in further tonight.  I just did my first five spider bounties.  They made lost sectors matter!  Hurray!!!

so its worth playing again? I got bored before the second expansion came out. just couldnt stand the drag anymore.
