No.  He DOES have hammy issues and WAS just released.  You fly wherever or fly them here and meet him and his agent and don't leave until a win/win is reached.  He needs us as bad as we need him.  NO other contender has the front 7 we do nor the need at SS we do, period!!

Okay.  I can see that point but I want to see several players currently on the roster still here in 2018.  If we can reach a a win/win...great.

FWIW, Dallas is at $142 mill, we are at $164.  They have a lot more room and I don't want to get into a bidding war for a guy that got cut.

IF he ends up signing with Steelers-- is there a chance that Mitchell is released to make room for him?

I really doubt the Steelers or us have any real interest. He's trying to get a bigger check from Dallas or another team.

So we specifically need  SS and a former Pro Bowler is out there.  If we have no interest we need a new GM worse than we think.

This move would make so much sense. But you know how things go most of the time things always just end up shaking our heads.

If they go kooky like the Redskins did JNo, then nothing we can do.  But his and our smart move is to sign a deal which will allow him to maximize his value to ALL 32 once more before he retires.

Gotta love the "I want to keep so and so next year" posts.

At some point you need to play for the year you're currently in

Not to mention safety is a HUGE need for this team and has been since forever

Ok but don't rant and rave if a player we currently have ends up walking to a bigger contract because we signed a 30 year old strong safety with hamstring issues. Like norwell for instance, and then our line turns to poo again when Marty hurney drafts another amini in the second round to replace him.
