CAP vs Fozzy - Pick your poison...

I assume it's CAP's poor pass protection that kept him on the bench so much in prior seasons.

I think we'll somehow keep both at least to start the season - [ultimately it could depend if we are successful in claiming other players off waivers at positions of need (CB especially).  Since we're sitting at #8 spot this season we have a much better chance...]

I think we're going to feature the run game heavily and may want all 4 RBs to keep guys fresher.  I hope Ron has learned not to pound Stew into the ground like we've done past seasons.  Spell him with CAP to keep him fresher.  Fozzy a better backup for CMC...

I don't know how you can say Fozzy's weakness is running when he has more yards and a higher ypc average than CAP in a Panthers uniform.

Yeah and he still average 5.9 yards per carry this preseason. Both of them have good rush numbers.

It's not even a difficult decision for me.

Fozzy may be able to play special teams, but he is average at best. His one true strength is as a receiver, and we won't be throwing to him when CMC is playing.

CAP on the other hand, is a tough and elusive between the tackles runner that is finally starting to show what he is capable of. He may never be the receiver Fozzy is, but he would be a very good compliment to CMC going forward. Sort of the Alfred Morris to our Elliott.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, two of my Auburn boys are #1 and #2.

CAP should get a spot on the roster.  Fozzy is expendable due to CMC and Samuel.  CAP will hold the spot vacated by Stew when he's gone until a new back in the mold of Stew comes along in 2 or 3 years.

But Hurndog will do whatever Ron wants and my guess is it will be Fozzy.

CMC not only fills the Fozzy role, but upgrades it. CAP should be ahead of Fozzy.
