I believe this has worked in Butler's favor. If Gano doesn't miss tonight then he's the K no doubt. His miss may have (and should have) cost him the job.

He was 8/8 in 40+ yard attempts last year at GT.

Relatively relaxed and pressure free practice kicking aside, it certainly seems like Butker is better when it matters.

2/2 is not enough evidence based on how bad he was in camp. The only evidence was have that's true is that Gano is bad. Arguing that Butker is good because he "hasn't missed in preseason" is so silly. Especially purposelfully ignoring practice to get to that conclusion.

Which is why I referenced his 88% last year at GT including 8/8 in 40+ yard attempts.

Has he actually SUCKED, or has he just not been as good as Gano in practice? Because I could care less how many sixty yard field goals Gano makes back to back in non-game situations, if he can't make a fifty-yarder when it counts. I like Gano. When he took over Snapchat for the Panthers last year, I thought it was awesome. But his job is to kick, and the last game he played that counted, he missed three of his four field goals.

On the radio broadcast they said he had trouble early adjusting to the size of the NFL ball.  Maybe that's behind him, but really Gano beat himself out.

Anyone would miss some in practice after getting used to a totally new environment/team/everything.
