I mean we could throw more to the backs, but it's not like we give them a lot of run reps right now either. The way we've been playing from behind, and the way the screen game failed against Philly, it's not the top priority. Let's run a little first.

You can´t play the "if" game if you want to look trustworthy. Those 106 carries we have no idea how would have went.

The fact is AD have produced better in 3 years than Williams have in four years. That is the stonecold fact.

We can speculate here on the huddle but this is a writer and I just hate the "if" game.

And I would pick Williams over AD

Don't be dumb, you can't produce if you don't get the ball. That is what is stonecold fact.

I hate to copy other team a whole lot but when I see Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams run the wildcat at Miami.....I can't help but wonder why we can get both Stewart and D. Williams on the field and showcase their talents in a more non-traditional way.

Goodson was supposed to be this great and talented slot receiver but I haven't seen that tried much either. I know he's has some fumblitius but good coaching on fundamentals should help correct that.

Deangelo should have ATLEAST 25 carries a game. If you watched the game last night, the vikings running game was shut down for the most part but they just kept giving AP the ball. They didn't abandon the run outright and become 1 dimensional. You never know when AP or Deangelo will break a big gainer. Plus it still keeps the defense honest to keep showing you are committed to the run

It just seems our coaching staff panics too soon and thinks they need to throw a wrinkle in to "fool" someone.

my .02 cents

Tell me the basis for believing Jake won't throw to Williams or Stewart. Williams is the third leading receiver behind Smith and Moose while Stewart is the 4th. In fact he has thrown more to the backs than he has to the tight ends.

Do any of you guys actually look at the facts before you make these unfounded opinions.

I find it interesting that he said discuss.

LOL, like our discussing makes any difference.

Someone needs to ask the Panthers coaching staff hard questions, and they never do.

I feel sorry for Williams, great talent, desire, with a staff who does not know how to use him consistently. Sad. Perhaps the next coach will know how to use him....even when the opposing team has 8 men in the box because they don't fear Delhomme.

agreed. if only williams was considered an important part of the offense.

he isn't used nearly enough...and i'm not talking about just carries. the guy is a really good receiver as well.

IMO he is Steve Smith scary out in the open. I will never understand why we dont use it more. I look at NE that uses backs and all there WRs not just 2 and get Jealous.

having 2 first round running backs account for around a combined 21 carries per game is atrocious, considering all the investment we make on these guys.

Until we have an offense that can sustain a drive and a defense that can keep us in the game we are always going to be playing from behind and in third and long. No way we can have a good running game when we have to sling it to catch up.
