I know the eye passed fifteen miles east of Key West.  A friend of mine's parents use to live on Marathon.  Said their neighbor evacuated.  That is all I know

It got hit pretty hard.  Cudjo took the worst.

Buddy of mine rode it out in downtown/old town key west.  They have no power water or cell service at this time.  1 or 2 places on the island somehow has land line phone and letting those who stayed call their loved ones

Here in ft Lauderdale just got back yesterday.  We're fortunate to be one of the only ones in the county to have power and water.  A bunch of trees are down.

Got called into work last night, and damn how eerie south Florida (ft Lauderdale through Miami dade) looks at night flying around when 80% of it is without power

That is crazy man.  My brother and sister-in-law have to return to work tomorrow so went back this morning.  They have power but checked the rest of our places and still nothing. Evidntly there are gas stations with gas but no power to pump.  Luckily the schools finally announced an hour ago that they are closed through until Monday so I have some time to relax here and watch soccer while they work on my power.

I cannot imagine what the citizens of the keys are going back to.  Every report from down there sounds bad.

1. Never fly spirit. They canceled my Tuesday flight (hurricane came Wednesday) when Delta and AA were still flying people out.

2. Never seen anything like this. The beautiful island of st Thomas was devastated.

3. Since there were no flights from st Thomas, I had to get on a speed boat on the sea( I'm never doing that again) to get to st croix for my delta flight.

4. Landed in Atlanta on Monday (pilot did a very good job in those crazy winds) only to realize no train services and uber was suspended. Had to use lyft for the first time.

5. I'm glad I survived but it was a really perilous experience. I don't know the process but I might sign up for the national guard. They do a really great job after natural disasters.
