Any word on the keys? I know they have zero power. Sister lives in the center of key west. I'm worried she is going to come back to nothing

I know the eye passed fifteen miles east of Key West.  A friend of mine's parents use to live on Marathon.  Said their neighbor evacuated.  That is all I know

Well, from what I know, the shift east gave us worse wind here but is far better for home than expected.  It is really the best possible scenario to be honest.

Almost everybody I know in northern Pinellas County (where I live, St. Pete in the southern part) is without power but those north of us that are still there seem to have power.

What videos I have been seen have shown very strong winds.  I have no idea on flooding however as most of the storm hit at night.

The entire county is on lockdown.  After the storm passes they will assess damage and then decide if they can let people back, who knows, but things sound much better than they did twenty-four hours ago.

Everybody I know that stayed in the area seems to be doing well.  Most do not have power.  Father said there were a couple of loud noises on the roof and he is waiting for wind to die down before going up and assessing but there is no evidence inside the house of leaks so that is good.  Lots of trees down nobody has any major damage that they had detected yet.

Here in Kissimmee we had a ton of wind and rains but nothing too serious.  Still windy but rain has stopped.  Brother and I walked the street.  Small tree out front is leaning bad and may not make it.  Several other trees in the neighborhood are down.  Mostly young trees with less developed root systems.  There also seems to be a leak in one of the bedrooms.  Speculate water was getting under the window sill and leaking down between the wall.  My brother dealt with the same problem before.  Does not appear to have been caused by the storm.  Without this much rain and my sister being in the room at the time who knows when it would have been discovered.  Other than that, no damage to be seen.

A friend evacuated to Jacksonville and said lots of rain and wind when I spoke to him last night but they seem to have survived.

Evidently the lockdown to get home has been lifted so people are allowed back but all bridges and US-19 are closed so we are going to stay here today rather than get in the way.  Maybe the Waffle House is open.  =)

Anyway, Tampa got extremely lucky...again.  At the expense of Naples...again.  Orlando got lucky as well this time.  Storm seems to have gone right between the two.  Sounds a lot like how I would envision a perfect FG, of course none of us actually remember what that looks like.

I'm not gonna lie, I was hoping Gano would miss every single kick yesterday just so we could move on.
