If you are 40 miles from the eye, you will probably be okay, especially on the west side of the hurricane.  Pulling for you.  And pulling for Irma to lose more steam

Go northwest  to Ocala  and now the damn path changes and going straight up through there

If you manipulate that Ventusky map to show wave height...holy crap...that biggest I've seen is 50.7 feet.  That's a big ass wave.  When it strengthens after crossing the islands I'm sure they'll be bigger than that.
