Yep, I'm ignoring the hell out of that number because there is no way to fact check it, nor is there a way to verify how many of them were actually good targets where he had a chance to catch the ball unless you have all the games recorded, which I don't.

The best way to fact check it is look to the other receivers on the team. The same guy is throwing them the ball too. That's the common denominator.

Lord Christ, here you come with that poo again while ignoring the number of targets the guy has had. He was literally the most inefficient receiver in the NFL last year.  The only reason he's had these opportunities is because of how weak our WR corps was and is.

Actually.....

Actually, he's ranked 66th on that page. And if you read the link I posted, targeted includes passes that weren't catchable.

This was all I was asking for the whole time. He has been bashing the hell out of Funchess on that 39% efficiency number without having any idea how many of the targets were even catchable passes. That's BS. At least I know the stats I put up and 100% accurate and easily provable by looking at several other sites.

Has more to do with the college game and spread offenses than anything else. WRs used to be one of the highest bust rates and more and more of them are able to come right in and contribute immediately.

So what you are saying is that, as always, the NFL is stubborn in its refusal to adapt to what they consider their free minor league.

Football innovation always moves from the bottom up and the top tends to fight it every inch of the way.
