Browns just release former Pro Bowl CB Joe Haden

Recommended Posts

The important words are: released, former, and Browns.

If he were a good vet presence, a teacher or even able to play decently, they'd have kept them during their rebuilding effort, or they'd have successfully traded him for even a 7th round draft pick in a future year. Good luck to him in his future endeavors, but we should just keep walking past.

@Promethean Forerunner It's going to be a bit late, but I will come up with a quick article on Worley, the two plays everyone wants to harp on him for, and break down exactly what went wrong and why he wasn't successful.

(Hint: Panthers asked him to do something he's had trouble physically doing in the past. Also, one of the plays involved a bad showup from the safety as well.)

That's because he never signed a FA from another team worth a wet sloppy fug.

Never is harsh, there were several good signings just few and far between.  Delhomme, Proehl, Lucas, Tolbert, and Buckner were all good FA signings

Middle-low tier guys.  None of whom were highly sought after.

Hell, Tolbert approached us.

Those were middling transactions that netted a positive gain.  Hurney brought in zero top shelf FAs. (Neither did Dave but see salary cap)

Haden was a Pro-Bowler in 2014, got hurt in 2015 and didn't get back until last season was already 4-5 weeks in.

That's like saying Thomas Davis sucked when he was trying to get back in game shape after missing a season.

And Haden is better than Munnerlyn and Teddy Williams (and younger). He's also younger than the top 3 starting safeties in Charlotte.

I'd take any measure of an experienced CB over Darryl "Torched" Worley right now.

sources say that Steeler's surge into lead for Haden sweepstakes.. But the Huddle thinks hes trash.... man what are the Steelers doing!!!!

some will eat crow.

Ask the Steeler fans how that Mike Mitchell signing ended up.

The majority of the Huddle was right then, and will be proven right in saying that Haden is garbage.
