Winston might have thought that grab to his helmet would draw a flag so why not throw it up and see what happens. 

If so, that still wasn't smart. QBs should never assume a free play until they see the hanky.

You could tell he was on the decline just by watching the Tampa game from last year. He made sooo many dumbfounding passes and decisions that game.

We have enough issues of our own without worrying about one play by Winston who lit our happy asses up last year

What is the purpose of this? Especially since this play a) is in the preseason and b) doesn't even count because Winston's forward progress was stopped.

I guess since the whole "sky is falling because Newton didn't throw a pass in training camp today" and "I am hearing reports that Newton's injury is career ending" ended this is what we are discussing?

I would hope that we would be more focused on our secondary or the play of our WR. Winston and the Bucs will take care of themselves.

i don't believe he will ever get out of his own way.  That throw looked just like the throw from the National Champ game which also ended in a turnover.  IMO Winston isn't Cam. The weapons hes had since being at the Bucs sheesh.  Now has one of the best WR corps in the league. 

His not his physical abilities but his mind and football IQ which every irritates is "high"

This was my first reaction as well. Why no call for his helmet almost getting ripped off? Did they get him confused with Cam?
