Possibility of no fullbacks making the team

I see the staff doing what they are sort of expected to do and favor the vet.

BUT...If Dickson can play the roll and likely will play the roll more often than not.....AND Armah is looking promising but needing more development THEN why not? You can always go get a Young in a pinch or get Young himself most likely. I'd love to see them make some gambles instead of playing it super safe.  Do you want Young for a year or two or Armah for 8? Assuming Armah actually has potential

Maybe it is just the hype but am I wrong to say that Armah is learning quickly?   I would hate for us to find a gem and lose him because we try to tuck him away on the PS?

I don't see Armah getting poached from the PS. He's only a legend here in Carolina.

I believe you are correct in that assumption. If FB was more universally utilized around the league it might be more likely so that is in our favor.

How? Young has gotten WAY more reps in practice and in the preseason games and has looked better. Plus RR likes vets. I like Armah and I think it's fun to pump him up, but I just can't see a situation where he makes it over Young. Would be fun if he did though.

I admit that my roster projection may be 95% based on my annual Rookie FB crush. The other 5% is the versatility he brings. As long as Dickson continues playing as well as he has in preseason (solid blocking and decent catching), Armah is definitely his back up. IF our offense is evolving towards hybrid play-makers, Armah make sense...once he's ready.

the fact some think we would cut both fullbacks is hilarious.  we only run a power run scheme and without a fullback? bahaha. some of yall are bored at work...

kinda need a fullback for I-Form and such.

The people saying that cover the Panthers for a living.

Cool.  But how do you run our running scheme with no fullback?

The way they have for the last two preseason games and the entire training camp with the starters. Dixon has been doing it and doing it well. We've discussed that throughout this thread.

Yea and half of their predictions are usually wrong

Right...but they're reporting on what they are seeing, hearing, and putting logic behind their suggestions based on all of those things.

Meanwhile the Huddle says: of course we'll have a FB, we always have and how else could we possibly run the I-formation
