i'd give up a 3rd if we can ink him long term.  Well worth it in my opinion. 

However, would he succeed in our defensive scheme? Is SS in their defense a lot different than SS in ours?

You sign him to an extension and you are 100% going to lose either Norwell or Star....I think that both are more important than a 30 year old S.

Worst case, he significantly improves our chances at the ring and we can sleep well knowing we gave it our all.

Best case, we win the ring, the Broncos are  below.500, our picks aren't too different, and he signs elsewhere aiding our comp pick formula.
