The McGregor/Mayweather Fight In A Nutshell

Floyd had a damn good strategy but acting like he was toying with Connor is asinine, if Connor doesn't gas it goes to decision and he gives himself a shot to win or at least draw(highly doubt judges would have any decision where Floyd loses). Any UFC fan knows that's been Connor weakness, cardio, his fights rarely make it past the 3rd round in the UFC and the 2 times in recent time that they have he's look the same exact condition he did in rounds 8-10 of the boxing match. Hats off to Floyd and his camp for a damn good strategy

McGregor do better than I expected, but the ultimate result was what I expected - either a lopsided decision for Mayweather or possible late round stoppage on a gassed McGregor. Anyone complaining about the stoppage is crazy. The stoppage was fine. McGregor was done.

Ultimately, this was the equivalent of a triathlete trying to win the Tour de France or the Boston Marathon. Yeah, the triathlete is good at those things, but he's not beating a specialist at his own game

Clearly you don't know mayweather. Mayweather was in control most of the fight.

Been watching Mayweather since the late '90s. He's definitely showing his age. That fight showed why he retired two years ago and picked an 0-0 boxer to go for #50. I don't think #50 would've ever happened had McGregor not came along and represented a huge payday with minimal threat in the ring.

Mayweather definitely didn't expect to eat a couple clean uppercuts, get his head snapped back by some clean jabs, and get hurt to the body early in the 9th. He took control as the fight went on as expected as McGregor is a notorious gasser, but McGregor definitely enjoyed more success than most expected. Certainly more than I expected.

Mayweather told.us he was going to Walk forward and take shots and give shots.... It was evident when he allowed conor to land 111 shots on him.... He was doing this for the fans... Lol.... When has mayweather ever thrown 12 punches total in the first few rounds??? Mayweather was in control entire fight. Conor was an amateur in there.... Y'all giving conor toooooo much credit....

You're out of your mind. The guy who sucker punched Victor Ortiz so that he could clock out early isn't doing poo to appease fans. When he pressed forward early on he was getting tagged. That's when he retreated into his shell to wait for McGregor to fade. McGregor is a notorious gasser. He's got about 10 minutes of fight in his tank and then he's out of gas. I think Mayweather had every intention of getting him out of there early but was getting tagged and thought better of it.

Yes, McGregor is an amateur boxer and he showed that Mayweather while still very, very good is certainly not what he used to be. McGregor would've struggled to put a glove on Mayweather in his prime. Mayweather definitely wasn't planning to get hit as much as he did and it surprised him early.
