connor gassed as usual, actually had a shot, but if you watch him in the ufc or his most recent loss, same exact thing happened. Ref stopped the fight too early also, was good fight to watch, better the manny vs floyd

The fight wasn't stopped too early. Connor hadn't thrown a punch in over a minute. He wasn't protecting himself. His hands were at his waist and he stayed up by grabbing Floyd and leaning on the ropes. It was over.

Don't believe the hype. McGregor never had a chance. Floyd was never in any danger. He gave McGregor the first three rounds, feeling him out and not really throwing many punches. In the fourth round, Floyd started going to work, and as the fight went on McGregor gradually weared down. By the end, McGregor was gassed and not throwing any punches, while Floyd was throwing lasers at his head. The ref had no choice but to stop it because McGregor was not fighting. He could have gotten seriously hurt.

Anyone surprised by a boxer winning a boxing match had way to high of expectations. Floyd made over 200 mill selling white racist people on the hope a Irish man could beat a undefeated boxer. Anyone who really follows MMA or boxing knows they are entirely different and don't cross over well. Mayweather was going to be him with experience and hand speed even if they fought 10 times. Connor would kill Mayweather in the cage though and it would be over in minutes.

It's not even that.  All scripted since the beginning from a promotional standpoint.  Those two are now best buds for eternity and made each other so much freaking money.  Mayweather was always going to win; McGregor was either going DQ or exactly how it went.  They were not going to let it go to a true KO.

Two entities just syphoned 9 figures up the wazoo.

Right. Floyd taking that uppercut to the chin that nearly took him off his feet was part of the plan.

His only plan was to let Conor chase him until he fatigued, which began to show in the 5th round. It isn't toying so much as it is strategy. Conor had more hits on Mayweather than Manny in two less rounds. He was also the first since DLH to win the first 3 rounds against Floyd.

So...planned...right. Was an entertaining build up and fight. Conor just doesn't have the technique to outbox a guy like Floyd. He looks like he could be a technician and if he spent a few more years boxing, he could figure out how to get his power involved. Last night, his power didn't come through as he couldn't get in an optimal position to use it; that comes with repetition however and Floyd has been doing it for far longer.

So under what circumstances would Conor DQ? You think it would be scripted for him to lose the rights to one hundred million because he DQ'ed? Sales in tin foil must have gone way up the past week with all of the conspiracy theories floating around; conspiracy theories exactly like yours.

Last point, Conor is used to taking punches from 4 ounce gloves, elbows, knees, and forearms. Why does everyone believe that a hit from a technical boxer who has never relied on power is what fazed Conor? Dude was gassed, he told the ref he was gassed, and he told the ref he was done when the fight was called.

    • I want to throw in how much easier it is for a QB to develop and improve with a good oline.  Huge credit to the front office for spending the money on our two guards.  Cade Mays also had a 2nd really good game starting at center.  Love how he has developed and hope he's the real deal. Look at what Stroud is dealing with now in Houston after injuries and problems with their oline.  Strouds accuracy has been greatly affected as it seems like he doesn't trust his protection. Canales is doing a great job developing Bryce.  I think the QB whisperer might be for real. And obviously big props to Bryce.  First round pick that looks horrible in his first year.  Different coaches and systems.  Fans and media are calling him the biggest bust in NFL history and he looked like it in the first two games this year.  Gets benched.  Young man keep his cool and just continued to work and only worry about what he can control.  I hope things continue like this and we end up with a great success story. Bryce Young kept pounding.
    • Outside of Philly (who currently is #3 in pass defense) the rest of our remaining opponents are bottom 1/3 of the League in that regard.  Let's see what Bryce can do versus bad pass Ds.
