Agreed, and I think the Duke guy is better as well.  Or at least he was the last time I listened to him, (many years ago).

 

In my humble opinion, the Wake play by play commentator (Stan Cotten) is the best, and I am glad they didn't hire him. Of course, I may be a bit biased.

For example, whenever there is a positive Panthers play, Mixon takes like 5 seconds to react. The only way you can tell what is going on in real time is to listen to the crowd.

At least on tv you can see what happens. On the radio it is hard to tell if the Panthers just completed a 50 yard pass or a screen pass for a loss. He literally describes them both the same way.

Never understood the support for Mixon.  He is easily one of the worst, if not the worst, play-by-play announcer I've ever had the displeasure of hearing.

He was such a serious downgrade from Bill Rosinski.
