Honestly, Byrd hasn't done much of anything since that first pre season game. He has not impressed me at all as a punt returner since he's been here. He has a little speed but Clay is much shiftier.

He disappears when he plays the ones. That should be all you need to know. The sad part is that we need him to be good because we don't really have any more speed.

I think you are correct because Cam was to call what he saw. DA was just horrible, rarely audible etc. Byrd is an outside the numbers and a field stretch player.

In my opinion he hasn't disappeared. He's still shown an ability to get a step on his man. He just hasn't had any catchable balls thrown his way since game one. DA hasn't been very accurate, but it also has seemed like he's decided who he's going to throw to before he even calls for the snap. There are times (like on an incomplete pass who threw to Dickson last night/not the int) where he didn't look like he even tried to go through progressions. 

I think Byrd's a lock, but he could've come out of this preseason looking like a star, had DA played better.

We don't need two starting WRs that can barely get separation. Been my opinion since his first year. At least with KB he knows how to use his body to box out or high point the ball to offset his lack of breakaway speed. Captain Munnerlyn was probably right about him.

It sure looked like Funchess had separation when DA threw that INT that was targeted for Dickson.

DA has definitely given them a excuse that is for sure.
