Ted Ginn Jr couldn't beat out John Brown.

John Brown is now buried on the Cardinals depth chart.

Again is that suppose to help your point? LOL

John Brown is way better than Ginn, the only reason Ginn has been productive in Carolina is cause our WR core is horrible.

meh jaron brown beat him out this year.

Ether way I could dig up whoever Ginn couldn't beat out during his tenure in SF as justification as well.

shepard could thrive in this offense just as Ginn did....time will tell. You can't just say "he couldn't beat Humphries out" over and over again "he must suck!" when the same could be said about Ted Ginn in SF as well as AZ.

John Brown has been dealing with a quad injury so theirs that and unlike our coaching staff Arians is very reactionary and does things on the fly

All those guys that Ginn couldn't beat out in Arizona or SF would all been more productive than him in Carolina, we are just to cheap to bring them in. Ginn is a complete product of terrible WR core and Cam.

@Jeremy Igo has a great point about chemistry with Cam. I reserve judgment until we see how Shepard responds in a game with Cam throwing. I will say this, having witnessed so many practices in Wofford, Shepard was easily our #3, and a damn good one at that.

He has quickness, he has speed, he has catching ability, and he has tenacity. I won't quite go Saca level hype, but Shepard is a lock to make this team and I predict he will have a good season with us.

Shepherd couldn't beat out Adam Humphries.....

Adam Humphries is now buried in Tampa's depth chart.

Well Humphreys has been a revelation, and he's not really buried on the depth chart as the present WR3 (and presumably punt return duties).

I get you though. Shepard didn't maximize his opportunity and got beat out by someone who wasn't supposed to beat him.

Godwin is tearing up Bucs camp this week, so I doubt Humphries holds on to his spot much longer.

Also so when it comes to options he soundly behind both the TE's

I'm not worried about Shepard based on two freaking pre season games.

I'm not "worried" about him at all because I know that we will eventually do better if he doesn't do anything.

All I'm saying is that here we have a guy who hasn't really done anything from a position standpoint his entire four year career, and then in two preseason games it's more of the same.  His showcase (or show-me-something-case) should be tomorrow night! Hopefully he'll get three quarters to justify his talk.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
