Any interest in Hurns?

Ted Ginn Jr can only play in blue and black.  The league should know this.   Only reason he sticks is because maybe the Saints do know that and simply want to handicap us from him.

The Saints will keep him this year and cut him next year.  Ginn will owe his relevance to the Panthers and only the Panthers.

Hurns will be by far our second best receiver. The jags would be dumb to trade him

Well it's not like they're going to trade Marquise Lee who arguably shows better than Hurns  when he's not injured. And they not only have DeDe Westbtook, but Keenan Cole who has shown and shone better than the troubled rookie receiver.  Throw in Rashad Greene, and they can afford to shop Hurns.

Hurns had a 1000 yard season already and his rookie year he was beating out Robinson when Henne was starting. No way is Lee better than him, Lee just brings a different dimension so it's easier starting him opposite of Robinson

Yeah he adds another dimension because he is probably the better, more versatile receiver. His route running and YAC are legit, and his needle moved upward in all categories last season, unlike Hearns'.

He's faster and has more consistent hands, Hurns is more like Robinson except he gets open more often.

only issue w/ Hurns is his price tag.  Too steep...but the dude has legit potential as he has shown in flashes.

He's shown flashes, but his durability seems a little iffy and that contract hurts. I don't think he's shown near enough consistency to take the bait on that contract.

Like thefuzz said there's an out after this year where you can cut him with zero cap implications

If he comes here and balls out we might just FINALLY have a WR2.

At some point you can keep everyone on your team and if Star has to go because of it so be it. Star is a space eater, you need to be able to find those guys instead of paying those guys especially when we just PAID KK.

What would they want in a trade though? Willing to potentially throw away a mid-round pick? Because if he doesn't ball out, he's not worth that contract.

Yeah so it basically comes down to if you're willing to gamble a mid round pick on Allen Hurns.

Given Hurney's track record... why wouldn't you roll the dice on Hurns?

I highly doubt we do this due to it already being week 3 of preseason but let's face it, whoever gets the WR2 spot is most likely getting it by default. Hurns is a legit number 2, we wouldn't have to throw Samuel to the wolves immediately
