Any interest in Hurns?

Hurns' two seasons are a tale of two receivers. In 2015 he was really really good when targeted. In '16 he was hampered by a hamstring, and his stats took a considerable turn downward (including his catch percentage and drop rate). Of course Bortles didn't help any of the receivers, as Allen Robinson's stats went south also.

Burns has some skills, and if you get the '15 version and project even modest growth, then his price may indeed be a value.

Not holding my breath, but a 5th or a 6th (and Gradkowski, for example) may be something to at least explore.

So Jags wouldn't be paying out any of his money at all?

No, if they are willing to pay his salary then they might as well keep him on the team, the main reason for them to attempt a trade is because they have cheaper options on the roster and want to save the money.

Who's he comparable to? As a number two WR, maybe look at Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones.

Sanu signed for five years, $32 million. Jones is on a five year, $40 million deal. Both are solid WRs, with friendlier deals. Is Hurns even a number two WR on the Jags anymore?

His deal reminds me of the Williams and Stewart deals. Jags had to know they'd be giving Robinson money, too. Some logic must have made them wrap him up, thinking they'd have two superstar WRs or something locked up with an expanding cap.

I think they'll have a hard time dealing him with that contract. Just too many guys putting up better numbers for less money.

I lived in sorry ass Jacksonville for a year so when the Panthers weren't playing I was forced to watch the Jag's because of the market.

This guys hands are on par with Ginn's. I don't have the ability to do the research right now but if you look into this guy a little bit more you will see he is $40 million dollars worth of drops.

You know it's coming.

Ted Ginn Jr can only play in blue and black.  The league should know this.   Only reason he sticks is because maybe the Saints do know that and simply want to handicap us from him.
