But but but I was told Christian McCaffrey's too weak and can't block a fly!

Saca layeth thee truth.

He writes every post like somebody writing the dialogue of a soap opera. It just gets ridiculous and over the top. I appreciate a lot of what he posts here as there is some good stuff but it's really not that much different than PU's stuff. Same style posts with different content. PU's are freakouts, Saca's are wet dreams.

Most of the time I'll highlight misconceptions people have and attack that. I do actually knock on CMC's use of ducking his head too much in Pass Pro when I did my evaluations, but otherwise he generally does have very good technique.

I back up my claims. This year happens to exhibit a team I personally feel is better than 2015 on paper and can go far, but that's just me. Another year, my posts would probably look more objective.

If anything, I knock down Matt Kalil and KB a lot. Still want to see how they do in the regular season before proclaiming them fine.

My Redskins buddy keeps comming at me with the ".. yeah but hes small"

dude. Hes literally the same size as shady McCoy

And here's Lesean McCoy's combine/draft preview thing . Sounds very simular to McCaffrey to me besides the specific mentions of the cutbacks is McCoy's particular specialty.  McCoy was actually 4 lbs lighter than McCaffrey at his combine (McCoy 198 vs McCaffrey's 202 combine weight).

Right now McCaffrey is 205 and McCoy is 210. McCaffrey's already gained 3 lbs since the combine and will probably gain another 5-10 by the time his 2nd seasons starts , just from being on a real NFL diet and weight program.

STRENGTHS

Positives: Fast enough to get the corner and owns a second and third gear in the secondary. Excellent inside quickness, hitting the hole in a hurry when in the one-back set. Gets to top speed as quickly as any back in the country. Special vision for the cutback and in traffic. Plants his foot and accelerates. Very elusive in space, with shifty hips and an ability to juke or shake off a defender. Maintains his balance well after making a move or running through arm tackles on the outside. Runs with a lean inside, will bounce off tackles and keep his legs moving. Patient enough to allow blocks to develop on stretch plays to the outside. Very natural hands as a receiver; will excel on swing and screen passes. Uses his quick feet to run crisp out routes. Ultra-competitive; works hard in the film and weight rooms. Wants the ball on every play. Negatives: Doesn't have great size or the compact strength of elite backs. Must prove he can get the tough yard and not dance to try and break a big play when it's not there. Invites turnovers by running with the ball very loosely. Doesn't always switch the ball to the outside hand. Runs out of control at times. Some of those cutbacks will not work against the speed of NFL defenses. A liability in pass protection, throwing a shoulder instead of moving his feet to take on or even just get in the way of a rusher. Whiffs on his cut blocks against blitzing linebackers.

There's the key.  Too many times people make their proclamations without any research or evidence.  To your credit, you certainly take your time to do the research to formulate and try to back up your opinions.

Just cause they are similar size doesn't mean they play with the same strength. McCoy led the NFL in broken tackles last season, Mccaffrey could never do that. For comparison sakes he's about the same size as Dalvin Cook yet Cook has 600 more yards after contact and led the nation in broken tackles. Some players just play with more strength, Reggie Bush is built like a mini bodybuilder yet he couldn't break a tackle to save his life.

CMC was 4th in the nation in broken tackles and averaged 3.3 yards after contact.

We'll see if he can translate that to the NFL, but he was elite in both regards in college.

He only had 570 yards after contact, that wasn't even too 15 in the country if I recall. That's not elite. Their were guys who double that.

I think he's more Bush than McCoy, but we'll see
