And that's on Funchess. You need to prove to your QB he can trust you as a WR. Benjamin has done that. There's a reason why Cam looks Benji's way and not Devin's at crucial times. Devin hasn't done a whole lot to make Cam throw it to him over Benji.

We've seen Devin slip on routes, not fight for balls, not fight through contact. I'm not saying Benjamin is perfect but you know he's going to go up and do everything in his power to come down with that ball, with Devin you never know.

I think all that's overblown. I've seen Funchess slam open, and others as well, but Cam forces the ball to KB. Cam's going to have to correct some things too. You can't put all that on the receiver. It's a leaders job to trust and include everyone when you get down to it.

So top dawg did today's game help you understand what I'm saying a little more?

On KB's 3rd down catch AFTER the Funchess fumble DA locked on to KB the entire play. Why? Because they trust him.

Not really the best example, but sure. I guess if nobody is getting open, heave one to KB to high point.

I have no idea if anyone else was open the point is after Funchess put one on the ground DA didn't even look his way during a 3rd down play.

Im saying this because you think Funchess isn't getting opportunities because of everyone else. Funchess is the reason why he isn't getting looks. Funchess is the reason why when him and KB are running streaks down the sidelines Cam heaves one up to KB and not Funchess.

Dude, I've seen Cam force the ball to KB when Funchess was wide open. Call it trust all you like. I see it as inefficiency.

No one is saying Funchess hasn't been open I'm telling you why he's not getting the looks you guys keep screaming about and today was another great example.

Even when his number was called today (back to back plays in the 2nd I believe) Funchess couldn't get an inch of separation. That plays a factor into him getting looks.

You seriously think time after time when your number gets called and you can't shake sh*t you ACTUALLY expect the QB to look your way? Hell no.

A complete QB, or at least the best ones, go through their reads consistently, and find the open man.

One hand its nice that the Panthers FINALLY realize the importance of have underneath receiving weapons but im still concerned about the loss of Ginn.

He was Cam's only reliable outside receiving threat. Currently, there isn't a proven outside guy on the roster. Instead what the Panthers have are a bunch of guys who'd be much more effective in the slot and no one who wins consistently on the outside.

Putting you're trust in KB is a losing a game. Its not his fault, he's just not talented enough for what the Panthers have asked of him. Too many holes both athletically and skill-wise to be considered a #1...he wasn't even that at FSU why did the Panthers think he could carry that burden in the pros??? He's needs to lineup in the slot more and on the outside less.

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
