This is a fantastic idea. A much, much better idea for a spinoff than the Han Solo or rumored Bobba Fett movie. 

McGregor is a perfect choice to reprise the role and there's so much potential to do a great Obi Wan story of him in the tatooine desert- it could be a western set in the Star Wars universe. 

In fact, it would be the star wars version of a western as rogue one was star wars version of a war movie.

They now need to cancel and never release the Han Solo movie with the Targaryen girl.

I had no idea she was in it. Not sure how I feel about that.

This has potential to be a great movie, I'd like it to focus on Obi Wan suffering after the fall of the Jedi Order and maybe him venturing into the dark side of the force a bit. Dealing with the issues from his apprentice face fuging the Galaxy and all.
