From what I've read the kicking competition is pretty much over. Rivera's talking about maybe giving the rookie a PS spot.

Also saw that the Bears are giving  Aguayo a look.

Gastkowski missed a few kicks last year too. I just don't see how fans who haven't seen any of the camp competition can just blindly make this decision. But hey, I hope Butker does win it because that will mean he's really a better kicker, but I just haven't seen enough to confidently call it either way, much less take a lesson from the damn Bucs.

Vinatieri was signed by the Colts a more than a month prior to Gostkowski being drafted. 

None of that makes Butker better or worse than Gano.

The fact that he was drafted and has only been with one team makes him better than Gano.  The fact he was 8-8 from 40+, has a better leg, has a bigger frame with room to grow, was clutch at Georgia Tech, is cheaper-he's better than Gano in every single way.
