Why do people keep saying that? Peppers is MUCH MORE TALENTED THAN JARED ALLEN!!!! You got to be kidding me! Peppers doesn't have the motor but he also doesn't have the supporting cast that Allen has. You really think that punk could do what he has done tonight with Nick Hayden, Lewis, and Brayton??? If Peppers was on that defense he would be a freakin superstar. Its absolutely insane to think Allen is THAT much better than Peppers. Come on guys, the season is bad but lets not get crazy.

also...jarred allen played 95% of snaps..last year more than any DE..I dont think any one can argue who is the better DE rite now thats allen...but peppers is a good DE that can blow Allen out the water when he is on..

Allen can brag because he can do it. Some of us have been complaining about Peppers' engine for more than just this year. I even think it was mentioned when he was originally drafted IIRC.

And at the end of the game, Allen was 45 yards down the field making a tackle! Peppers would never be that far down the field unless the game was over and he had to piss.

I guess I'm the only one that sees it differently. Jared Allen has a incredible defensive line to help him out, and it takes the double teams off him. Peppers can't say that to be honest with you. Maybe it is a good portion of him not wanting to be here, and wouldn't be surprised if it isn't related to the coach. Do I think he's worth 17 mil? hell no.

You guys are actually proving my point to an extent. Everyone keeps saying that if Peppers had more heart and determination then he would be unstoppable. When you compare two players that has to be thrown out the window. You can make the arguement that both are productive, both have the ability to take over games, but last night was about as good as Allen will ever be and that was merely a good situation for him because the Packers had some injuries and protection issues.

If Peppers were to walk out onto the field Sunday and have 4.5 sacks and 3 FF's and even a blocked punt we would still want more because he CAN do more. He is still only playing 85% with those numbers while Allen plays 100%. Peppers is definitely the more talented of the two players, by far. I have said repeatedly that Allen has a better motor, but he is not more talented and in my opinion Peppers can do way more for the defense than Allen can. Thanks for backing me up Brianm23.

Oh and for the guy talking about Allen 45 yards downfield, watch the game Sunday and look for number 90 downfield. I can assure you that he will be there. We expect way more out of him than most people because we are fans of the Panthers and he makes way too much money. But that stuff is irrelevant when discussing how good one player is over another. We see EVERY panthers game a year so we know EVERY misstake and poor play of Peppers, but none of us has seen EVERY Vikings or Chiefs game. We just see Allen on the highlight reels and in the big games like last night. Both these guys are VERY talented but to say that Allen is soooo much better than Peppers is crazy.

Allen and Peppers are both excellent DEs that would be welcome on my team any day.

What you witnessed last night was a combination of Allen's talent and a complete lack of Oline skill and execution on the part of the Puckers.

That Oline is awful, one of the worst in the league, and even though I think the world of Rodgers as a QB (barf, but it is true) he tends to hold on to the ball a half second longer than he should. Particularily when one considers how bad his line is.

Yeah I remember thinking to myself that Jared's motor is ridiculous compared to Julius, and that he plays with so much more heart, but at the same time he has those big fatass Williams' to work with. Now, I know Julius slacks like crazy but he might be looking a little better if our D line was a bit more up to par. Still, it's no comparison.. you can tell Allen leaves it all on the field when he plays.
