Jared Allen > Peppers

Why do people keep saying that? Peppers is MUCH MORE TALENTED THAN JARED ALLEN!!!! You got to be kidding me! Peppers doesn't have the motor but he also doesn't have the supporting cast that Allen has. You really think that punk could do what he has done tonight with Nick Hayden, Lewis, and Brayton??? If Peppers was on that defense he would be a freakin superstar. Its absolutely insane to think Allen is THAT much better than Peppers. Come on guys, the season is bad but lets not get crazy.

You're correct on talented and better cast

But motivation, desire, motor and all those things is why this thread is made. Cause it really shows when you have those things, along with talent

I definitely agree with you but why was no one making this comparison last year? Its because Peppers and Allen had pretty much identical stats last season and oh yeah the Panthers were 12-4. It just goes to show that people will turn on you in a heart beat when things don't go well.

And by the way Allen had 10 tackles 2 sacks and 2 FFs coming into this game and Peppers had 9 tackles 1 sack and 1 FF. Their production isn't that much different but people see Allen against a poor offensive line in a blowout where all the Packers can do is throw the ball. I just don't agree at all that Allen is as much better as what eveyone seems to think.

I love how a game-changing, MVP, dominating, franchise player needs support to shed a single block from a tight end or a running back.

Edit: Firstdayfan, I have been saying this for years but whatever. Don't pull the "people are only saying this now" card. Julius showed up in 2 games that didn't mean sh*t last season.

Jared Allen had 15.5 sacks with Alphonso Boone, Ron Edwards, and Tamba Hali as his other D-linemen in 2007. Julius Peppers had 2.5 sacks in 2007 with Maake Kemoeatu, Kris Jenkins, and Mike Rucker. Sorry, this is more than a trend for this year.
