What about a neck roll like Howie Long wore or a brace like Bryan Cox used to wear? Surprised these haven't made a comeback. I hardly see any players wear them anymore. I used to after I got a nerve in my neck pinched one time from a hit.

I remember wearing a neck roll when I played pop warner ball, lol. I think every one of us did back then. We just wanted to look cool like the pros though.

Seriously though, I sure hope this works for Luke. I don't ever want to see him looking like he did after that last concussion. That was heartbreaking

After all, if Luke sustains one more concussion, it's likely the end of his career.

Can we stop saying alarmist bullshit like this without a little bit of data to back it up? It's not like he's on Reggie Ray's concussion count.

Now that there's a concussion protocol that allows players to fully recover before being sent back out there, the lasting effects might dramatically decrease. A decade ago, half the players got concussed every week and went right back in, now they are supposed to retire after 2?

I'm sure there has to be some middle ground.

The surrealism of this situation in particular makes for a sobering discussion when realizing the lengths these athletes will go to just to continue playing a game for pure entertainment.

Meanwhile we have fans here that bash their own players as greedy spoiled babies that need people to be nice to them all the time.

I get what you're saying, but let's be real, they're not doing it for pure entertainment. Not even close. This isn't pickup down at the Y. There's a lot of money involved.

Red has to find a way to make every single post about the fans that bad mouth players on the team. It's really quite impressive that he's able to do it

Give me Luke Luechly's contract and I couldn't possibly muster a single fug about what anyone had to say. Talk all the poo you want.
