Barnett just seems like he's way to big to play DE. its great that he got a couple sacks but lets see how that pass rush holds up mid-way through the 4th quarter in December. I can almost guarantee it will be non existent. I have the same worry for our old ass DE's as well.

The thing is, he played that way in college as well. In a lot of peoples eyes, two sacks in the first preseason game is likely exceeding their expectations.

I still remember a season in which we lead the preseason in total sacks, and then had one of our worst years sack wise during the regular season.

 

 

I remember a season where the Detroit Lions went undefeated in the preseason, then proceeded to lose every game in the regular season.

Wut? He is like 260 lbs and was considered a tweener between DE/3-4 OLB.

Barnett would have been a huge reach in the top 10. Was a reach at 14 IMO.
