Analysis: Breaking Down Every Christian McCaffrey Carry From Last Night

McCaffrey also appears to be pretty smart with putting himself at angles and positions where he doesn't have to get clocked and absorb the worst punishment in his runs

Sure he's not trying to truck 2 or 3 defenders every-time like fournette is, but McCaffrey will probably have a much healthier and longer career b/c of it.

No one is questioning his height lol. Even our very own Jonathan Stewart is listed as an inch shorter at 5'10, but he's got 20+ pounds on McCaffrey.

Stewart is the Power, CMC is the compliment.

That being said, only Emitt Smith weighed more. Body frames differ ofcourse, and taking height-weight into consideration, dude is bigger than Jamaal Charles. He does look small, but thats to his advantage as long as his body can hold up.

You really look at CMCs body, he's not really skinny anywhere. Just very very lean , his arms are pretty big and so are his legs . His mid section is pretty slender but that probably helps him quite a bit hiding behind olineman and getting through holes pretty quickly and easily, and avoiding arm tackles.

He's simply not a power runner . He doesn't really need to be one, as long as his elusiveness and vision is there and has a little bit of space , hes gaining yards all the same.

You may not remember that J Stew was a horrible blocker when he came into the league.

Give the kid some time to develop.

Haven't read any evidence that stew was as bad as CMC blocking.  Lol. Y'all are really locked and loaded praising a rookie.  Never seen so many people crowning a rookie and making excuses for him before the first NFL game. I believe y'all are over hyping this dude. Y'all need to come back down to earth. CMC will be good but he will never win a rushing title period.
