Luke Kuechly is a monster. He's an other-worldly being. He is the best middle linebacker in the NFL.

On the second play against the Texans on their first drive, Kuechly comes in like a heat seeking missile, eradicating the poor Texan in the way of his path.

Welcome back Luke.

When you watch the second string linebackers (though they aren't bad) you realize just how insanely good Luke is. Ill never get tired of watching him

No doubt.  The drop off from the first unit as a whole to the second was literally night and day.

I was sorta suprised at how well the second and third string O actually looked pretty damn good on the other hand.

Back to luke.  Dude literally knows whats going to happen before the play starts.

Whats even more beautiful is Star Lotulelei tackleing the RB with the OG's back. The dude is like 3 yards in the backfield and 10 yards to the right. Star just abusing him. Star doesnt get that stat but GOT DAMN was he a force on that play. Just push the OLmsn into the RB every play big dog. Making me proud Star.

Star is that dude.  Keeping him here should be at  top of the list.

When i played ball i had more pride in choking the OG back into the ballcarrier creating a swarm pile than i did simply shedding the block and making a tackle. Something is more satisfying about denoralizing the guy infront of you using him and his back as a batering ram into the ball carrier.

I can dig that.   Even watching it still Star was there damn near before the cameras even started moving.  BEAST. I respect that about him that he can do a mostly unsung job (to casual fans of the game)..  Plus he looks like he could be a Dothraki.  Kudos to you too though.

Until this past year, I would have never questioned anything of substance regarding Luke Kuechly. In my opinion, he is the Panthers best player---when he healthy---hands down! But, therein lies my question: can he stay healthy?  Specifically, the concussions are kind of becoming the elephant in the room.

I love everything about Kuechly as a football player and from what I know of him as a man, but I hate that I have to worry about the hits.

His situation is a little different from Dan Morgan's in the sense that Kuechly seems to be much more intelligent or cognizant about how he tackles. He's not reckless in my estimation (but, yeah, that first concussion was probably due to him leading with his head down), but Morgan was a true hitman. I began to fear for Morgan, and I'm developing a fear for Luke. Moreover, this is not even something like Sean Lee's knee injuries that are serious, but able to be overcome. We're talking concussions in which any seemingly innocuous hit could shorten his career, possibly even immediately, as in the case of Jahvid Best.

Luke is ready no doubt, but I don't know that I am.

I believe you missed something, my good man. Star takes on 2 guys (66 and 79) and takes both of them out. I don't know if 66 was pulling over to block or on a double team, but he went for the ride, too.

If you watch the play closely you will see 3 other defends come right behind Kuechly like a freight train on that play.  Bam bam bam bam...just like that.   These guys are ready.
