J Stew already in midseason form getting swallowed up in the backfield.  I never feel like he's going to break a big one.  I feel McCaffrey has the ability to break one at any point.

How can you break one if you are swallowed up in the backfield..Stew, fozzy, and Payne were both swallowed time they got the ball..there is nothing you can do if you are met by 2 players at once...CMC is small in stature he can hide the others outside of fozzy can not...I like who we have at Rb can't really knock them if line is not blocking opponents.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with how they used CMC last night. He is a RB who ran the ball and was thrown one pass that was tipped. I don't know where people are getting this idea that he should never run  between the tackles anyway. Hell, he had his best run of the night between the tackles and almost broke it. He may have actually been the best between the tackles back in the draft.

Just another day averaging less than 4 YPC (albeit on just 2 carries).  It's a good thing he can block.

Thats right just 2 carries....its harder to get yards between tackles as you saw most of CMCs gains were about 2 to 3 yards except for 2 the one around the end and one up the middle... Stew is Stew no knock on him..CMC is good but don't knock Stew. You can't  run throughtackles everytime. Now if you are talking about the playcalling then thats different but Stew is still starting caliber.

Pssst..... every year we say its preseason and Shula isn't showing much... and every season the regular season is no different than preseason.

Why do you constantly feed these types of posts?  If you are not fishing for more comments and traffic why be so two faced.  On one side you agree it is preseason and that we will run a vanilla scheme and not show our hand and then suggest preseason and the regular season are the same and you better than anyone know that isnt true every year.  You go to practices, Are you going to tell me we arent practicing more screens, dumpoffs and short passing than in the past? Do you really see no difference between this year and past training camps??

I am hopeful that the Panthers are not showing what they will do on offense.

But I am realistic in the fact that in past years the offense in preseason looked much like that of the regular season.

So does practice look just alike or are we practicing different things?  Or cant you tell from what they allow the media to see?
