Article: Player Of The Game - Fly Like A Byrd

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Damiere Byrd can fly. The Houston Texan’s defense learned that first-hand during the Carolina Panther’s first preseason game of 2017...

So, what did Byrd exactly do? Did he flash some good stuff? What are his chances of making the 53 and having a prominant role?

That and much more, in yours truly's first article:

Don't worry. I still promise to make a General Observational thread. That should have all the positives, negatives, and objective analysis many of you crave.

Or not. But I'll still make it.

I crave wins. Gimme those and I'll happily read gobbledygook.

Nice analysis and great column. I feel tit worth commenting on how nice that pocket was on the second TD. Webb had the guy in his face at the end but plenty of time to sit back and fire that pass, exactly the type of blocking that plays to the strengths of a guy like Byrd. Hope he can keep it up.

I'll also point out Taylor Moton stone-walled his guy. Think he may be giving Williams a run for his money if he keeps this play up.

Nice article, I enjoy reading your breakdowns and observations. You get a hard time around here from some posters for not being as objective as they would like, but I tend to be overly optimistic about the Panthers too and it doesn't bother me. Even if you see things through blue colored glass you still know a lot about football, and I always learn from reading your posts. Keep up the good work my man!

Thanks. The hard thing about being "objective" this year is that we actually have a ton of talent. I'd love to be able to point out negatives, but they're so few and far between.

The General Observations thread should be good for an objective look at a few people. But really, I'd let anyone else take up the challenge of finding a ton of negatives on some players on this team I've covered. You won't find much.
