Will he play? Yes. Should he play? Hell no.

And deny him the opportunity to have experience against NFL talent under NFL lights?  Deny valuable reps?  Set a tone of resentment with the rest of the team that they'll protect the Golden Child without him having to earn anything?

Rivera literally just gave an interview to charlotte observer saying he will play about a quarter and a half. Not sure if he will return punts.

IMO it's more vital he gets return reps than any given how disastrous special teams turnovers can be.  Get used to fielding the ball@ BOA.

CMC might get some "Welcome to the NFL hits", but he's gonna give some "I'm here bitches" hits right back.  The kid can truck and people are underestimating his toughness and durability.

I'm not even sure why this is a question unless there are some health concerns or injuries we're unaware of.

Actually, I do know why this is a question, I'm just not going to bring it up.

He will most likely play a few downs, maybe the first quarter.  After that it will be all backups the rest of the night.

I don't want his first NFL live action to only be a handful limited reps against the starting Texans front.

McCaffrey is a beast but the dude is gonna have to get some real work in this preseason.  Can't try to protect a rookie like he is a vet.  He needs speed reps and conditioning at this level.

I hope to see reps with the starters in the first and then get reps after they leave...and see him on punts.
