The NFL Network is airing all the preseason games, most of them live. They will be airing the Panthers/Texans live for sure. If you have that channel or have a login from a family member to watch it on Apple TV or similar device, that is an option for preseason. I broke down and got Direct Tv with the free season of the Sunday Ticket. You can not buy the standalone Sunday Ticket UNLESS you are a college student or live in a building that you can not have a satellite dish. I tried every single trick to buy the standalone sunday ticket, but Direct is ridiculously a pain in the ass about that. You could try Kodi as others have said. I have had luck in the past with it, but it has been acting up lately and didnt want to take any chances. If you are tech savvy at all, you can use a VPN or DNS blocker and make it look like your device (Apple TV, amazon tv, computer, tablet etc) is in Europe and purchase GamePass then. Gamepass in Europe is live and much cheaper than Sunday ticket. Gamepass subscription in the USA is an option, but it will NOT be live. You will have to wait till the game is over to watch it. Direct TV has the monopoly on football viewing rights. Ive spent a lot of time on research for this as I live out of the local viewing area as well.....Direct TV subscription with the free Sunday Ticket was the best conclusion I came up with. Good luck.

Luckily, I fall under that second category of living in a building that can't have a satellite dish (my apt. building forces you to go with cable because they don't want the satellite dish eye sore's all over the place).

I've also talked to people about fire stick / Kodi, but I just honestly don't know if I have the patience to deal w all of that.  Since I'm eligible for the stand alone package, I'm about 90% sure I'm going to go the Sunday Ticket route.

Appreciate the response!

I'm an out of country fan and I have ways. Reddit is the top choice for me. I believe there's also a way to watch games on youtube but you have to do something with the filters. I can't remember how to exactly but it' will come to me, it's not hard.

Kodi is another good way, install it on your phone or in your Computer.

I believe NFL.com is also streaming preseason games.

I use Spectrum and after downloading the app to my tablet I can watch live TV (depending on the channels you have on your Spectrum account) on my tablet.  Don't see why you couldn't watch the game in real time if you get the app.  I'm sure other cable, possibly satellite, companies have something too.

Only on a computer with NFL gamepass. Even bars with Sunday Ticket don't get preseason games.

Luckily this year the first 2 preseason games are live on NFL network. NFL ticket is the only way to go. I tried going to a bar every Sunday but it gets old having to beg them to turn your game on and there's no DVR for bathroom breaks

You would just need to find the right bar... Pretty much everywhere there would be several options to watch the Panthers. Lots of places that play literally every single NFL game, and a lot (harder to find) that if you became a regular there could get you the Panthers every week regardless of how many they show. I was in Philly for a year and it took me trying out a couple different bars but was easy to find one that I became a regular at. Right now I'm in Boston and lucked out with this pizza/sports bar place that is essentially empty on Sunday afternoons and I get the Panthers on the same TV every week. No sound which is annoying but just a reality. In fact probably better to not have to hear the dumb broadcasters. Just annoying with penalties when you can't tell exactly what's going on just by watching. And also now I know of the local Roaring Riot group which does have a bar with Panthers game with sound every week so I may check that out.

I see you're in MN. I've got a ton of family there and am up there quite a bit around Christmas and other parts of the season some times and I've never had a problem finding the Panthers up there.

As far as bathroom breaks go, maybe it's just me but I wouldn't DVR the game at home ever anyways. I always prefer to be live unless during a stoppage I go back to re-watch a play or whatever, but wouldn't want to be playing catch up to what's happening live. I just try to go quick during shorter stoppages if I have to or wait until after a quarter or halftime, or even after a score so all you might be missing would be a ST play. Not a huge deal.

I will say, I'd absolutely love to have Sunday Ticket and I'd get it in a heartbeat of Comcast had it, but no way I'd get DirecTV just for that. And wouldn't ever get some online streaming nonsense.

    • When we drafted Luke, we already had Cam, Smith, Olsen, Stewart, Deangleo, Gross, Kalil, CJ, Hardy, Beason, TD, Gamble (and maybe more I'm forgetting), we had a lot of great pieces in place. Going pure BPA for a player with Luke's potential when the LB you already have is different when you already have all those pieces in place.  Our OL right now is probably in a better shape than that team and our RBs and TE have potential compared to proven vets back then, but after that, the 2012 roster was in a far better shape than we are right now. We need a #1 WR, DEs, LBs, DBs, C, and depending who you ask a QB.  Going BPA at pick #5 when that player is a DT and your current best player on either side of the ball is a DT, seems irresponsible. If he's the only player they like that high left, then you trade back and go with position of more need at a slot that makes sense for the player while adding other picks.  If you trade back and he falls because other teams don't need/want a DT, then you consider him at that point because of the value.
    • This sounds like the same back and forth when we drafted a LB when we already had a LB or as mentioned prior back to back DLs. I want the BPA, if it is another DT so be it. (No not a kicker/punter for those people that think they are funny))
    • I’m hoping SMU messes it all up and wins out. Imagine the SEC & BI0 would crap themselves trying to “fix” the problem.
