Only on a computer with NFL gamepass. Even bars with Sunday Ticket don't get preseason games.

I have gamepass and it says blacked out

Are you in the area where the game will be shown locally? If so then that makes sense and you can just watch it locally. I haven't looked yet but I bet here in Boston it won't be blacked out and the Pats preseason games will be.

Sunday Ticket is your only legal option, and this the only option that can be discussed here. It's also going to provide you the absolute best quality.

You simply have to decide if it's worth it. If I was out of market, it would be for me.

A lot of private streamers have better quality and less restrictions than the NFL offers actually. Same with the NBA and League Pass. Not that I would know, of course.

It's kinda pathetic on the league's part. I'd pay for Sunday Ticket in a heartbeat if it had its act together.

Yep, that sounds pretty logical.  His location says Eastern NC, so I'm sure that's what it is.

If I had DirecTV I'd have Sunday Ticket. But I wouldn't have DirecTV because it's sh*t outside of having the deal with the NFL. I hope after the current deal Comcast gets a shot at it.

A few years ago I moved to Baltimore. I too wanted to watch the games. So I did what everyone should do...check to see if there was a @RoaringRiot chapter near me.

There wasn't one.

So I did what any fan in that position would do...I started one. Charm City riot now thrives. Now I get to watch the games with sound and 20-50 people. Much better.

I know there are Panther fans all over the globe on this board, so I'm hoping this is as good a place as any to ask this question.  2017 will be the first time I won't be living in the Carolinas during football season and I'll be damned if I'm going to be relegated to watching only the primetime games.  I tried using the search function to see if there were older threads on this topic, but wanted to create a new one anyway, seeing as how there seems to be more options each year to watch NFL games.

So with that being said, what is recommended (preseason and regular)?  Feel free to share good experiences, bad experiences, etc. Any advice really, will most definitely be helpful.

Note: I've been looking into NFL Sunday Ticket (I'm not a Direct TV customer, but I've read you can still get Sunday Ticket) but just trying to decide if the price is worth it?

Pay attention to 506Sports' weekly football maps. Tells you whether you'll definitely get the game on local TV or not.

The NFL Network is airing all the preseason games, most of them live. They will be airing the Panthers/Texans live for sure. If you have that channel or have a login from a family member to watch it on Apple TV or similar device, that is an option for preseason. I broke down and got Direct Tv with the free season of the Sunday Ticket. You can not buy the standalone Sunday Ticket UNLESS you are a college student or live in a building that you can not have a satellite dish. I tried every single trick to buy the standalone sunday ticket, but Direct is ridiculously a pain in the ass about that. You could try Kodi as others have said. I have had luck in the past with it, but it has been acting up lately and didnt want to take any chances. If you are tech savvy at all, you can use a VPN or DNS blocker and make it look like your device (Apple TV, amazon tv, computer, tablet etc) is in Europe and purchase GamePass then. Gamepass in Europe is live and much cheaper than Sunday ticket. Gamepass subscription in the USA is an option, but it will NOT be live. You will have to wait till the game is over to watch it. Direct TV has the monopoly on football viewing rights. Ive spent a lot of time on research for this as I live out of the local viewing area as well.....Direct TV subscription with the free Sunday Ticket was the best conclusion I came up with. Good luck.

    • When we drafted Luke, we already had Cam, Smith, Olsen, Stewart, Deangleo, Gross, Kalil, CJ, Hardy, Beason, TD, Gamble (and maybe more I'm forgetting), we had a lot of great pieces in place. Going pure BPA for a player with Luke's potential when the LB you already have is different when you already have all those pieces in place.  Our OL right now is probably in a better shape than that team and our RBs and TE have potential compared to proven vets back then, but after that, the 2012 roster was in a far better shape than we are right now. We need a #1 WR, DEs, LBs, DBs, C, and depending who you ask a QB.  Going BPA at pick #5 when that player is a DT and your current best player on either side of the ball is a DT, seems irresponsible. If he's the only player they like that high left, then you trade back and go with position of more need at a slot that makes sense for the player while adding other picks.  If you trade back and he falls because other teams don't need/want a DT, then you consider him at that point because of the value.
    • This sounds like the same back and forth when we drafted a LB when we already had a LB or as mentioned prior back to back DLs. I want the BPA, if it is another DT so be it. (No not a kicker/punter for those people that think they are funny))
