Greg Olsen is one of the best Tight Ends in the league. Today, he showed why.

Derek Anderson may be hot and cold, but he certainly is one of the better backup quarterbacks in the league. On this particular throw, Derek Anderson was able to thread the needle between two defenders, allowing the pass to land right into Olsen's outstretched one arm.

Yeah, if they're going to extend an older player, Olsen is the one. He has at least 2-3 good seasons in him. I can't say the same for TD. In fact, I'm not convinced that he hasn't already lost a step.

We needed a young TE prospect for a long time now.  Similar to the TD-Shaq situation, Greg is in that sweet spot of his career to be secure in his position yet mold a young talent.
