By The Time Camp Ends, Could Kelvin Benjamin Be Giving The Title Of #1 WR To Someone Else?

Not poorly, but no where near as dominant as years past.

Also, Shula, Cam, and Kelvin no longer spend time at practice together away from the team running their own drills. I think that is significant.

Looks to me like the new offense will have less emphasis on KB and more on spreading the ball around like in 2015.

OP is trying to make us think there's an issue when there isn't.

Not having to force the ball to KB because we have more options now is a good thing and speaks to the talent around the team, it's not a discredit to KB. If we want to discuss that there will be less emphasis on jamming the ball to him all the time then that's different. Alluding to him playing poorly isn't correct though.

Shep and CMC have been getting the reps and attention. KB has made plenty of plays.

It's still mighty early in camp. KB has come off of a pretty big (and fast) weight loss; he's dealing with the loss of his mother (and we have to remember he's still a young man); he's sleeping on the beds at training camp in Wofford; and I know after blowing out a knee that it takes time to get over not just the injury itself but that nagging fear that your are going to do it again -- training camp might just have a psychological baggage deal for him still. Tired, still adjusting to the rapid weight loss, not sleeping well and maybe a bit of doubt in the knee -- it's all in the mix.

We'll know better after the opening game. Or week 2. Vets sometimes coast in the pre-season if their jobs aren't on the line.

And Bradberry... well, isn't he turning into everything we'd hoped for in a CB?

You have to admit he was force-fed the ball. His efficiency numbers are not good. There is a reason nobody considers him one of the promising young receivers in the game.

I don't even have to mention how little separation he creates (3rd worst in the league). Feel bad for Cam out there.

Agreed about efficiency but the run game in 2016 was pathetic and so was pass protection. He shouldn't be the focal point but he is an insane redzone threat and I think the team gets that. The fact that we can be mad at him for leaving plays on the field is more than you can say for the guy people are claiming is going to pass him.

Save the arguments about want to and desire until you come back from an ACL injury and play a full 16 games.

I don't know how he'll turn out but it's funny how much this reminds me of fans were about Norman, even though KB has done 100x as much as Norman did to this point.

Just from what I have read we have a couple of WR that are performing better than KB.  Does that translate to being better in an actual game.  I don't know.
I think someone else could easily take the spot but the question is.  Is the coaching staff and GM going to make that call?
I think not.

You play how you practice. This is why they have walk throughs, padded practices, live practices, etc. IMO if you practice lazy, you'll play lazy.

Totally agree.  Demoting him means we busted on a 1st round pick and I am not sure they are willing to admit that just yet.
