Christian McCaffrey Schools Luke Kuechly On 1v1 Matchup, Sending His Ankles Flying

The best Linebacker in the NFL rarely lets any RB try and juke him out, or even get past him for that matter.

If someone were to tell me a rookie was able to juke out Luke Kuechly twice to the point he looked like a camp body, I'd probably laugh right at them. However, McCaffrey does the impossible and schools the best MLB in the NFL:

A zig and a zag and McCaffrey's gone. His quickness and ability to change direction effortlessly beats out Luke Kuechly's instincts and speed. Not many runningbacks in the NFL can do Luke dirty like this, especially a rookie.

Christian McCaffrey has a very bright future ahead of him.

EDIT: Much better quality here:

Very impressive, his cuts are definitely insane to say the least.

I know this video is popping up in multiple threads because of who was covering CMC, therefore being a negative for Luke, but I still find it pretty impressive that Luke was somehow still right behind him at the end.....most LB's would be 10-15 yards in the dust after that jump cut.

Coverage is Lukes weakness and CMacs strength. It plays to Christians ability because Luke is not a DB. With Cmacs ability, at this point, I want to see him against our DBs and running between the tackles.

I think if Luke wants to work on his pass coverage... this is probably the best exercise for him.

Im diluting my excitement about McCaffrey with perspective but in no way am I disappointed... because yikes.

When you watch CMC, it makes me want to tape my ankles with those cuts.

His second profession is being a magician.

Cam a transcendent QB.

CMC a transcendent RB.

Luke a transcendent LB.

What a time to be alive!

Um, did I read that correctly?

Luke Kuechly's the best coverage linebacker in the league by far. That is by far his strength.

yeah this is the dude that almost had a PBU on Julio Jones halfway down a football field.. he's pretty good at coverage.

my thoughts exactly. luke was still able to recover and touch him with two hands after the cut. if this was full contact, luke makes that tackle

Luke wouldn't have made the tackle. He barely got his fingertips from behind CMC. Luke recovering after that was impressive, but he still was beat thoroughly.

No doubt it probably would've been a breakaway run.
