You're contradicting yourself here.

If he's doing this well on offense...then why risk an injury trotting him out as a punt returner? 

Let him just be a beast offensively....that is worth the #8 pick in itself....It is far from a "given" that a highly drafted RB who can line up all over the field offensively should be a return man as well.
