this is a thread where i compile news articles to normalize the idea that other teams besides the panthers also have conflicts between players and front office executives

He'll get another GM job. The very small minority of people that think he did poorly won't outweigh the fact that he did a good job. But it's time to move on with our lives, @frash.exe. And pray to Jeebus that Marty isn't here to stay

the overarching point of the thread is to dispell the notion that front offices need to appease their players at the cost of mortaging their own future cap space. huddle posters live in a bubble. they really don't have the capacity to understand that the way this team had been operating the last four years was business as usual as it goes for the entire nfl.

The last post I quoted is a prime example of why I've begun to truly despise the Gettleman homers in our fanbase. Like I'm on some Chappelle's Show player haters ball type of sh*t. I don't even know you, I hate your guts. I hope all the bad things in the world happen to you.

These fans will gladly throw on the homer shades for Gettleman, but they are the same fans who have no qualms referring to franchise players they've thrown under the bus as spoiled ungrateful greedy babies that have to be treated nicely at all times. Even though our own former GM needed a goddamn babysitter (Brandon Beane) to keep things civil. Seriously?

What kills me is, this website is atrocious.  They let a stupid ass thread like this one continue on.  While moving actual NFL News.  You can't make up that awful s hit.

tony romo took it personally

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/03/28/report-tony-romo-distancing-himself-from-cowboys/

He reportedly has some other feelings about the way things have gone down in Big D. Jane Slater of NFL Media reports that Romo has “distanced himself” from teammates and coaches who he feels were pro-Prescott and has taken the team’s turn away from him as the quarterback of the present and future “very personally.” Per Slater, Romo feels “his team was taken from him.”

It’s understandable that Romo wouldn’t feel as rosy about the change in quarterbacks in Dallas as he suggested last season, especially if he feels he can still play well and should have had a chance to compete to get the job back this offseason. The notion that the Cowboys are “his team” is a tougher one to wrap your head around as Romo’s been around the NFL long enough to know that the team belongs to the guys writing the checks and that their decisions aren’t always going to be in line with the wishes of the guys in the uniforms.

So your logic is, if I don't think recently fired Dave Gettleman is lightyears better than every current general manager in the NFL, then I basically think he is the worst GM ever?

Are you insane?

No, but you might be considering you're replying to what the voices in your head said to you instead of what he actually said.

holy moly don't know whose side to take on this one guys

http://www.phillyvoice.com/doug-pederson-responds-mychal-kendricks-trade-request-revelation/

On Friday last week, Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks revealed that he asked to be traded or released after the conclusion of the 2016 season, as he was unhappy with his role on the team. In 2016, Kendricks played on only 26.8 percent of the team's defensive snaps.

On Tuesday, Doug Pederson was asked about Kendricks' comments and how he would go about handling something like that from a player.

"Listen, Mychal is on our football team," Pederson responded. "We're excited to have him. We understand, too, and he understands, that it's predicated by a lot of offensive personnel. You watch our offense, we're in a lot of that 11- or zebra- personnel. There's only two linebackers on the field. It's unfortunate. I'm excited to have Mychal. He's working hard and in a good position right now."

Anyway, since this thread isn't actually Panthers related, and the OP is spamming his own thread. Tune in as I gif bomb this into oblivion throughout the afternoon

DO it.  Do it.  Mods only care if they dislike someone.  Then, they'll ban them or move the thread wherever.  This dumb ass thread gets a pass.  Got to be shitting me.

    • I think this “stat” or whatever you want to call it can help paint the bigger picture.  I know some here are fixated on his passing yards but when you take this “stat” into account, our lack of YAC, lack of easy completions, our WR grades, you can conclude Young is having to earn a lot of what he gets  Most here won’t watch breakdowns or all-22 so some of these throws Young is making with crazy anticipation don’t get any recognition. At the very least this “stat” is telling you he’s making some impressive throws which is what we all wanted to see
    • Perfect offseason. Trade down: Get Emeka Egbuka and additional 2nd for our 1st. Trade current second for AJ Brown.    That takes our WR corp from arguably worst in the league to possibly a top 10 unit with two moves.    2nd Round: Jack Sawyer IDC after that. If we have Egbuka, Sawyer, AJ Brown after day 1-2 I’m happy.    FA: Austin Eckler, Dre Greenlaw, Hasson Reddick These are likely low(er) cost FA with high upside. Kind of medium risk, high reward possibilities. This is also assuming Derrick Brown and Shaq can come back healthy. Which..if they can’t the defense is terrible anyway.
