good idea for a head coach or no? i think if we lose to washington maybe we should promote him to the interim head coach position to see what hes got. I know i'm probably going to get flamed for even mentioning it but i dont see too many other coordinators out there that i'm clammoring over to take the spot next year,so maybe he deserves a shot before a retread??what do u guys think..theres several posters i'd like to weigh in on this topic

I doubt he'd be any better than Fox. He certainly isn't being creative with the offense.

i'd rather see what he can do as an OC with another HC before he gets that promotion.

of the existing group of coaches i would rather meeks get the job but even at that the only way i would do it is if fox got fired this year.

Fox won't be fired next week. Jerry Richardson won't make that decision until the end of the year, as it should be.

I've been thinking about promoting from within too, and one guy I've thought about is Baker. I don't really know a lot about him and his experience, but I just like what I see from the way he carries himself.

I don't think he would do any better, if any coach was given an interim HC job they would have to command a lot of respect in the locker room (look at Mike Singletary), and I don't think Davidson does.

The answer is simple....HELL NO! I just don't see it. He's not even that great of an OC and besides, there are former, experienced head coaches out on the market right now who would be more qualified in my opinion.

I think Ron Meeks would be a more likely promotion, and I'm not saying that's a good idea. Davidson rivals Crossman for coaching ability, in my mind.
