Point is that a 7th rd. pick is not a waste if it improves the team, be it through competition or direct roster replacement.

After Buttkicker has been kicked to the curb, we will have Gano. The same Gano we've always had. Neither he or anyone else will be thinking about Butker when we're at the the 29 (46) with a kick that determines the outcone of the game coming shortly.

I scoff at the notion that Butker is helping to improve the team.

If it were simply "competition" that helped to improve the team when there's an obvious lack of talent, then no pick is a waste.

Still wish we could have snagged Gonzalez. :( the fact that we took Butker tells me we were gonna take a kicker regardless and that had Zane been there, we'd have easily taken him instead.

Don't worry, we can draft/sign Legatron after this season.  :)

Who was the player who should have been selected that was drafted by another team that classifies the 233rd overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft as a "wasted pick"?

Newton with a quick tunnel screen and Worley reads it all the way for the INT.

Really seems like Worley has been making some great plays all week.  I think so far he'd have to win one of the "most improved" awards.  Liking this a lot.  We really may be back to Thieves Avenue again.

I guess if you compare last training camp to this one, Worley deserves the honor.

Personally think Worley's just continuing the success he had since the middle of last season on the field. Both Worley and Bradberry are special.

The Kalil brothers, left tackle Matt and center Ryan, get the day off. Amini Silatolu should get a lot of work at left tackle, which is a good thing since the Panthers are looking for a fourth tackle. Matt has been dealing with the humidity at camp more than many after coming from Minnesota.
