Honestly, I thought they would try him at safety because of that, but maybe he plays faster than his 40 time. Some do.

According to a ND site, he did not get an invite to the combine and he didn't have a great pro day. The site still expected him to get drafted, so to Notre Dame fans at least that was a surprise. We may have gotten a steal with this guy.

Luke ran a 4.63 and Norman ran a 4.61. What's your point?

40 times aren't everything. In most cases, quickness and burst and change of direction are more important. Revis didn't have a great forty time, but for years he was considered a shut down corner.

That said, I did watch a clip on YouTube of Luke's game against Virginia, and he didn't look great. Perhaps he's put in a lot of work over the summer.

He's already better than Sanchez, plus that's not a huge achievement. If he could be an udfa gem for us, that would be huge. We need to catch a lucky break like that.

2013- Robert Lester, Melvin White, and Wes Horton - gave the Panthers a good two years, plenty of snaps on special teams and starting corner.  Horton is on/off the roster and landed a two year deal with 300k SB this past offseason.

2014- Philly brown and Norwell- Norwell ranks among leagues best OGs and Philly filled the 3/4 WR(at times #2 during the magic 2015 season). Bonus LB Glanton was here for couple years currently on Bucs roster.

2015- Dean Marlowe and Bryd- The biggest reason for cutting tre Boston, Dean the current #3 safety. Bryd is still around hanging on the PS

2016- Jeremy Cash and Jerrend Norris- Both are giving great Special Teams snaps in all 4 phrases. Bonus- Garrent is still around

201- IMO Luke Cole, Austin Duke, and maybe Ben Boulware will continue the run of undrafted mining.  Keep an eye on Luke Cole, if he remains healthy he could find a spot on the 53.

I called that, so I must give a self back pat. When a group has a very deep+strong overall class, attack the undrafted period in the same group. AFTER the draft was over, I went over all the UDFA class, I came away most impressed by Cole. IMO non-expert opinion he could have easily been drafted in the early 5th.
