I just wish they'd release the kid already.  If they have no intention in keeping him (which they are making obvious that they don't), some team out there has a need for a backup that can average you 4 yards a pop.  Holding him until the final cuts would be a dick move IMO.

you don't release him now because we could easily lose a rb to injury before the season starts.

Yeah, he's snapped like he did with his rain maker alt. Going at jeremy probably isn't the smartest move on his part

Yes listen to the guy who was spreading false accusations trying to get me banned but turned out he was wrong on all his claims and looked like an idiot.

We'll likely hold onto him as long as possible in case of the seemingly inevitable Stew injury. He's the only other legit power RB on the roster.

The Panthers kick off today with an early morning practice in pads. This will be the first time we get to actually see how they may perform on the field.

As usual, I'll be the one keeping everyone updated on whats happening on twitter.

You're welcome.

To start things off...

I would not be surprised or disappointed if Hurney moved Funchess for a late round pick ASAP.

I wouldn't do it now. He's still on a cheap rookie contract. I'd give him all of camp and pre-season. If at that point he hasn't shown real signs of development and progression, cut bait and take whatever we can get. Hopefully something.

But wouldn't that same logic hold for the regular season?  It seems to me that the coaches don't seem to be too concerned about having another "legit power RB on the roster" at this point.

I mean, if you truly want a "legit power RB" backup, then having your 3rd string pass-catching RB that can't catch passes take his reps seems to be a truly dumb thought process IMO.

That lineup typically lasts probably like 10 plays per game...while the opposing team is even still trying to run the ball on us.

Shaq needs to be on the field more in our nickel package, which is our most frequently used...just because we run a base 4-3 doesn't mean we sit in that the entire game smh. We would get torched.

Yes when we run the nickel we still have 2 lBs on the field in essence what your referring to is the buffalo package where 3rd lbs plays the role of the supposed extra CB
