One Hurney position change revealed

Sorry everyone.. late to the party.... can some please explain how this is Hurney's fault?

Remember we are:

  1. Past the Free agency period
  2. At the start of training camp when all the teams have 90 + on roster.
  3. Hurney just took over GM position last week
  4. We have no one else to play LT especially with Oher released. (Also before Hurney got here).

If someone can break this down simply how it's Hurneys fault and not just because everyone blames Hurney,

Thanks

Good luck getting a coherent response from the Gettleman fans who forget this board is for Panthers fans

I too would like to know who would be better, and even moreso, I'd love to know how making Amini Silatolu the backup LT two practices into TC devolves a Super Bowl team (for the white knights ready to pounce, it's on page 1 of this thread)

Alright, see Hurney comment from SI here:

Now see Amini playing LT. Remember that he's supposed to be a guard.

Connect the dots yourself.

Suggested...suggested...suggested.   Not told to!

Hurney suggested changing a players position...but we don't know who, we don't know why, we don't know anything more than that one undefined statement.  Everyone is in such a hurry to vilify Hurney that they making huge leaps to support their hate.  The truth is that Hurney has never dictated to a coach that a player will be switched to another position.  So thinking that he's coming in as an INTERIM GM and suddenly making those kind of directives now is ludicrous.

Rivera is the one that would make that decision, and in no way would he ever make a change simply because a guy recently hired to just keep the train on the tracks thinks it might be a good idea (despite many leaping to an unsupported assumption that he will be permanent).  Give Rivera a little credit.  If he has Amini playing LT, it's because he feels that's where the team needs him to play.  Most likely, he's just giving him work there so he can be a swing LG/LT.

By the way, this was not directed solely at you Saca, just general thoughts on things I have seen from many people lately.

Damn, the past week has been a disaster with the board split between Gettleman fans & Hurney fans  I am SO sick of it.  I'll be glad when games that count begin and we all have a common enemy and can get back to being Panthers fans.

He's a troll and he'll continue to do it even when the games start

    • Yes I have. Have you? If you know anything about body language which I'm guessing you don't, it communicates what you're really thinking. People lie with words everyday. Very few people have enough control over their bodies to lie with that as well. So, if you want to know the truth, ignore their planned responses and read their body language.  You say he's pissed, I don't see pissed. I see indifference. He shrugs his shoulders like 10 times. What does a shoulder shrug usually mean when we communicate? It means I don't know. No me. Not my problem. etc. Everything he said was dismissed as I don't know, no my problem.  If he were pissed their should have been more aggressive motions and when people are pissed the eyes narrow.  There was non of that. Watch the Dalton video when he got benched in Cinci. He was pissed and his body language shows it. He shakes his head no aggressively when talking about the decision which matches his words that he disagrees with the decision, his eyes narrow and he rocks from side to side leaning in slightly on his right side. That's a sign of aggression which means anger.
    • well, if you put in stock into Tom Brady's opinions.  He said the young QBs shouldn't be playing.  He said they are setup to lose.  They don't have time to learn how to play QB in the NFL.  So what teams do is they dumb down literally everything for the young QBs and throw them into the fire.  Which for a Bryce is REALLY going to hurt.....because he doesn't even have average physical tools, let alone doesn't have break glass emergency skills to overcome anything.  Brady implied even ones playing well aren't really playing QB at a high level.
    • I think we’re past trying to tailor fit an offense for Bryce. He won’t study it or put in extra work during the offseason anyway.
